DIY Seaweed Face Mask

Homemade Seaweed Face Mask | Butternutrition.com
Seaweed face masks and spa treatments can be very spendy, but did you know you can do your own at home? This is a very easy recipe that uses a seaweed called bladderwrack that is very high in minerals, particularly iodine and vitamin C. I love this face mask because it helps your epidermis detoxify by pulling excess water out of the skin. Because of this, it's important to moisturize with coconut oil afterwards.

Seaweed Face Mask Ingredients:

1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon bladderwrack powder (like this)
¼ teaspoon water

Process:

1) Combine seaweed &  honey in a dish. Add water to thin to desired consistency, about ¼ tsp.
2) Apply the seaweed face mask and allow to dry slightly, about 20-30 minutes.
3) Rinse with warm water, and finish with coconut oil to moisturize.
* I suggest putting this on before you get into the bath.
