Spring 2014 Giveaway: $125 Beecher's Cheese Gift Collection | Butter NutritionDo you LOVE cheese? If so, you will want to enter this fantastic giveaway of $125 worth of Beecher's Cheese! Beecher's is a bit of an institution here in Seattle, one that you do not want to miss if you ever find yourself in Pike Place Market.

What's unique about Beecher? Seven days a week, fresh milk is pumped into the holding tanks at the Beecher's cheesemaking kitchens. Then the day-long process of cheesemaking begins. Depending upon the day, the cheesemakers may be making Beecher's signature 15-month aged Flagship, Flagsheep, Marco Polo, or any of the other cheeses that Beecher's makes. Under the skilled direction of the cheesemaker (and with a little help from the cows), the end result is a wholesome, authentic cheese - full of flavor and high in nutrition.

Beecher's cheese is a staple in my house, and I love using it in the following recipes (among other things):

  • Pizza for one
  • Summer Squash Gratin

This contest is open to those in the US only.

Every year, for my birthday, I ask for cheese. My in-laws and husband respond correctly: they buy me TONS of good quality cheese for my birthday. Cheese is my favorite food and makes me super happy. What would I do with this cheese if I won?! (the question you asked), quite simply: I would eat it all! It would be like a second birthday for me! 🙂

Other than good quality chocolate, cheese is my favorite food. I use it in so many dishes, and I love to snack on different types as well. If I was the lucky winner I would make so many wonderful cheesy recipes for my family, and enjoy many cheesy snacking moments too! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

It would depend on the types of cheeses included. I often make a veggie "lasagna" with layers of slices veggies, homemade sauce, and cheese. Sometimes I toss in some pepperoni and call it "pizza casserole" to make it more appealing to the kids. I would also use it in omelets, and maybe cuddle up with some cheese, a good bottle of wine, and my husband after the kids are in bed.

And I would share some of it with a couple people.

Both my Grandmother and Grandfather, from different sides of the family are in nursing homes in poor states. My Grandma Mary who had a large role in raising my younger sister, cousin and I is now receiving hospice care, and we are told we do not have much time left with her. I would like to share some of the cheese with my family members and the other folks at each nursing home- all the residents and the staff. I truly can't think of a better way to say thank you to those who care for my grandparents then to provide some delicious cheese, and also to give some to the elderly folks who don't have any family members nearby to visit them and bring them treats. With luck it will whet the appetites of my Grandfather and Grandma! Thanks so much!
