Holiday Gift Guide For Dog Parents

By Catherine on November 30, 2019 Last Updated December 4, 2021 Leave a Comment | Medical Disclaimer | This Post Contains Affiliate Links

Can we agree that dogs make life better?

And happy dogs are just about the best thing ever?

Here's my hand curated (and Milo approved ?) list of dog and dog parent essentials that can make the perfect gift this holiday season.

    RadDog All-In-One Collar + Leash

This is probably one of the best discoveries I've had as a dog owner. This collar has a built in little fanny-pack that holds a grab and release retractable leash. While it's not meant for or good for legitimate dog walks, it's great for city living, quick potty breaks, and off-leash adventures to help you quickly wrangle your pup if needed. My dog wears this leash 90% of the time and he loves it.

    West Paw Qwizl Dog Toy

I bought this toy by chance through a wholesale dog-related buying group I'm a part of in Seattle. It turned out to be amazing entertainment for my pup. I love placing a whole string cheese right in the middle for endless dog entertainment when I need it.

    Voyagers K9 Winter Coat

When I got a Vizsla puppy last year, I was told by some other Vizsla owners that this was the go-to brand for breed specific dog jackets that don't restrict movement. Dogs aren't immune to cold temperatures, especially short-haired dogs, so a jacket is essential for a high energy pup in the wintertime.

The Voyagers K9 jacket (shown above with Milo) keeps him chipper and warm on those non-negotiable cold or wet weather walks. It's also the first piece of dog clothing he hasn't ran away from. He actually gets excited when I get it out to put it on him, and he typically doesn't want to take it off.

    Dog Rook Bark Collar

There is quite a lot of controversy over bark collars, but sometimes they are a necessary evil in certain work or living situations. This is the most humane bark collar I could find and just makes a beeping sound at the start of barking, and progresses to a short vibration if the barking continues. It does not shock the dog at all, can be a short-term way to control barking while you are working on correcting the problem in other ways.

Learn more about the the collar here.

    Treat Dispensing Chew Ball

Treat puzzle toys for dogs are a must have for both puppies and adults. Place a few treats in one of these chew balls and let your dog enjoy ??.

Free Report: How To Reverse A Slow Metabolism

When your body decides to slow your metabolism it’s all about one thing: survival! It’s not about your body trying to conspire against you and ruin your life. It’s your body making a wise decision to sacrifice long-term health for short-term survival because it’s being told to do so (usually through food/nutrient scarcity). The slowing of the metabolism allows your body to go longer on less food. The body also tends to hold on to fat as a protective mechanism, which isn't exactly what most people are going for! Ready to learn what is slowing your metabolism and what you can do about it? Subscribe below to get access to my FREE Metabolism Report: Why Your Metabolism Was Fast, But Now It's Slow:
